Pain after exercise

Worked out, but have pain?

Exercise is essential for health promotion and maintenance. However, if there is an increase in pain and an occurrence of additional pain happens during exercise, it means that your body condition is not suitable for the exercise. When the body is unbalanced, strength training accelerates posture imbalance. In addition, the muscles that raise the pain get strengthened and the weak muscles get even weakened. In particular, the asymmetry of the left and right feet and the imbalance of the left and right pelvis may cause pain even with exercises such as a treadmill or walking fast. If your body often gets injured or feels pain from specific exercises especially axis rotations such as golf, tennis, and badminton, then your body is already out of balance. Moreover, it is a sign that the twisted body is more distorted by exercise. In other words, pain that occurs after an ctivity is not the problem of doing the activity itself, but rather an issue with the unbalanced body. MBR’s EMS Therapy improves the balance of the body for exercising.

Why does your golfing average continue to increase?

Common sports injuries caused by golf exercise

Neck pain
The neck pain usually occurs to people with unaligned shoulders or a neck tilted to one side.

Elbows pain
The elbow pain is caused by the damage in the elbow tendon from hitting the ground.

Left knee pain
Left knee pain is common to women with X-shaped knees. It occurs as the rotation axis of the knee gets bent when the torso rotates.

Shoulder pain
The shoulder pain occurs when the imbalance of the left and right scapula causes disharmony of the rotator cuff motion.

Back pain
The back pain occurs from the excessive rotation of the body. The main cause is the imbalance of the hip joint. Also, it can be   caused by improper movement of the latissimus dorsi.

Common Sports Injuries

Ankle injury
Ankle injuries are often ankle sprains or twists. Sprains are damaged in ligaments. About 90% of ankle sprains occur on the external side of the ankle. It is important to take first aid after injury and treat the ligament so that it recovers well. If you despise the initial symptom and delay the treatment, your ankles may become stiff enough to interfere with daily. On the other hand, if the damaged ligaments are damaged again before they recover, the ankle ligaments become weaker and looser. As a result, it may lead to joint instability. In MBR, acupuncture treatments repair the relaxed ligaments, normalize damaged tissues, and blood vessels, and strengthen ligaments and tissues.

Shin Splint (medial tibial stress syndrome)
Shin Splints are common to the athletes.  Often, it occurs due to suddenly increasing in exercise intensity, starting a workout without sufficient warm-up, or walking up and down the hills and the flat grounds in a marathon. In consequence, the shock does not get absorbed enough and leads to the accumulation of fatigue in the muscles and tendons. The pain throughout the tibia is common to the people who are beginners. Marathon can cause stress fractures in the hips and legs from repeated stress. Fatigue fractures are the bone fractures caused by microcracks from the massive stress to the bone. It is often found in the bones such as the ankles, the heels, the shins, and the spines.

IT Band Syndrome
The Iliotibial band syndrome, another cause of knee pain, hurts the outside of the knee and can extend from thigh-to-buttock.   Injuries to the foot include Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. Achilles tendonitis gives pain in the back of the heel, and plantar fasciitis causes pain in the soles and heels. Plantar fasciitis gets worse after taking a break. Especially, the pain is severe immediately after waking up in the morning.

If the ligament is injured, it is recommended to take a rest and cool it during the first 36 hours. If your legs are swollen, you should make your swollen legs higher than your body by supporting a pillow or cushion. Above all, it is most important not to move. If you go through your daily life without proper treatment, the painful area will continue to be irritated, and the condition may worsen, and the pain may become chronic. So, you need to receive proper treatment on time.

Sports injuries can be categorized as acute or chronic. Acute injuries can include ligament rupture, muscle rupture, and sprains. On the other hand, stress fractures such as shin sprint are considered as chronic injuries. Exercise is beneficial for health, but it is also having risk of injury. Let us learn about the injuries that can be caused by exercising.

MBR’s Sports Injury treatment uses herbal medicine, acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, moxibustion, myofascial relaxation, and kinesio taping therapy.

MBR acupuncture treatment: MBR sports injuries acupuncture treatments determine the root cause of injury by deciding which muscle has a problem with an accurate diagnosis, analyzing the body’s posture, and understanding the actual and weak bioenergy structural flow of the weakened muscle. The purpose is to treat the cause and prevent a recurrence. Acupuncture is a traditional Asian medicine with a history of 3000 years and can be applied to various conditions of the body and is safe.
